Alexandra Leaf is a NYC-based culinary educator with a specialty in fine chocolate. She leads tours, chocolate appreciation classes, and writes about the history and culture of chocolate. Her writing has appeared in Country Living Magazine, Saveur, The New York Times, Organic Life, and in the Oxford Companion to food series. Alexandra is the producer of the 92nd St Y's annual Chocolate Fest, a walk-around tasting of artisanally produced chocolate and chocolate treats. Alexandra is a Grand Jury Judge for The International Chocolate Awards. She is also the author of two books on French culinary history and art.
Mr Gordon is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA Photography, 1983). Upon graduation, Clay immediately embraced the world of high technology. It was in 1994 that Clay "found chocolate" and in May, 2001 he started publishing the seminal blog chocophile.com. Over the past dozen-plus years Clay has become an internationally–recognized independent authority on the subjects of cocoa and chocolate. His award-winning book, Discover Chocolate, was published in 2007. In early 2008, he started the online community TheChocolateLife.com, which now counts nearly 10,000 members in over 160 countries on six continents.
